Floodsearch

 

The Project House Water of the RWTH Aachen University fosters with its interdisciplinary research approach the examination of aquatious systems. In the sub-project Floodsearch the research interest lies on flood events: Which anthropogenious and non-anthropogenious factors influences the occurring of floods? Water engineers, eco-toxicologists, geologists, process engineers, economists and social scientists collaborate to do research in these fields.

The Chair of Management Accounting leads the subproject Floodeconomics. The research interest focuses on the development of rating methods for eco-toxicological flood damages, and the examination of potential use of resources from wastewater.
